Summer Isn’t Over:
Paddleboarding in Burlington This August
The final week of August is approaching, but there is still plenty of summer left to enjoy on the water.
In fact, late summer can be one of my favourite times to paddle in Burlington. Warm days, beautiful mornings and evenings, active wildlife and a little less of the mid-summer rush can make for some wonderful experiences.
At Ontario Staycation Adventures, you don’t simply pick up a board and head out on your own. I offer guided paddle experiences, Learn to SUP lessons and private adventures designed around the people I’m taking out, their experience level and the conditions that day.
Want to Learn to Paddleboard?
If learning to SUP has been sitting on your summer list, there’s still time.
A Family Learn to SUP class is forming for Friday at 9:30 a.m. in Burlington.
This small-group lesson is suitable for beginners and families who want to learn together. We’ll cover board setup, safety, balance, paddling technique, turning and the skills you need to feel more confident on the water.
Friday at 9:30 a.m.
$99 per person BYOB
$150 per person with board and equipment provided
Advance registration is required and the class runs with a minimum of four confirmed participants.
Already Comfortable on a Board?
You don’t need a lesson to paddle with Ontario Staycation Adventures.
Guided paddle experiences are available for those who would rather explore, slow down and enjoy being on the water.
Because I’m mobile rather than tied to one beach or launch point, experiences can take advantage of different waterways and locations depending on conditions and the type of paddle we’re looking for.
That might mean a peaceful nature paddle through a quieter waterway, wildlife spotting along the way, or simply experiencing a familiar part of Burlington from an entirely different perspective.
Private Experiences for Couples, Families & Groups
Looking for something just for your group?
Private guided paddles can be curated for couples, families, friends, corporate teams and visitors looking for a more personal way to experience the area.
Beginners are welcome, equipment can be provided, and the experience can be adapted to your group’s comfort and ability.
Don’t Write Off Summer Yet
September doesn’t mean paddle season suddenly ends.
There are still beautiful days ahead, and some of the most memorable paddles happen as summer begins transitioning toward fall.
If you’ve spent the summer saying “we should try that,” this might be the time to actually do it.
Learn to SUP. Explore somewhere new. Get outside. And make a little more of the summer we still have.
